Definitly go wider and deeper vs taller. Is it for your Red bellied? How old is s/he?
The taller cages in the past for me have been the cause of injury for many of my baby fids. They climb to the top, play with something and due to not being completely sure footed the fall franticly to the bottom. Usually hurting their chest and wing tips from flapping so franticly.Plus the wider cage alows for more travel space from toy to toy and perch to perch.
