Matches has recovered THREE times from metal poisoning. It is a scary thing to go through but you have to be strong. My vet called me in on easter to give her medication just to be sure. One time she had it just in her blood and the other 2 times it showed on X-ray. I am paranoid of her head bobbing now. That was my first sign. Some people said that it was just her showing love but she was only 3 months which is way too young. I left it a day but then she vommited and that was it. The worst she got was vomitting and losing her balance and weight loss (that was the scariest) and also drinking more water than usual, I'm so glad she didnt get to the depression state.

We started off with the normal, weighing, crop samples and poo samples then went to blood work and X-rays. After that she was given an injection and I was to give her oral medication twice a day every day. I was to stop 2 days after she stops vommiting. She was given an injection a week after the first one to enforce it. The oral medication was given for about 3 weeks the first time.

She is all fine now but she has scared me a bit, any sign of off balance or head bobbing for no reason and I am on the phone to the vet. Plus paranoid of anything metal that I can bend.
