Eeek! Agreed. Call a vet. Also, please check very carefully before taking a Scarlet. They are one of the most rehomed macaws. They are very sensitive and often misunderstood. They have a tendency to be nippy if not handled properly.
I love my Scarlet to death, but glad I waited for him as my second macaw. When I brought Elliot home, I personally had more experience handling macaws in general.
