It's been a year since I've been on this board. I just recently bought a Congo and thought I needed to brush up on some things. I had a beautiful Congo that I had since she was 3 months old and a beautiful Timneh that I had from the same age. I found my Congo a great home because of a long stay in the hospital and a longer recovery. I decided I couldn't keep her and my Timneh. She was 5 years old when I rehomed her. My timneh I had for 9 years and just recently lost her to a hawk. So, I now have a very sweet, even tempered Congo named Dusty. She is 6 years old and a huge perch potatoe. I am having to work with her on differant perches and differant places in the house. She also doesn't play with any toys. So my work is cut out for me but, I am up to the challenge and hopefully in a year I will have a very differant bird. I will probably lurk a lot but I will be asking questions and posting when Dusty finally starts to act more like a bird then a statue.
