Hello,

Recently a Moluccan cockatoo has come up for adoption in my area.

I have always wanted a U2 (I had to wait for the right time), but the first time I saw a M2 I fell in love as well. Not knowing much about M2 a friend told me....nope U2 is the way to go. I cant remember what she said about the M2.

Ok, so now this M2 is available. Can anyone tell me the pro's and cons of a M2 opposed to a U2?

I know this M2 is 16 years old, I think it is a female becuase of its name. I have yet to find out if it was DNA'd, etc. She is not a plucker and the only bad habit the owner says she has is she is starting to throw seed from her dish when she is wanting attention. The owners are placing her for adoption becuase they recently retired and travel alot. Their children come in to feed their birds, but the M2 is having a hard time adjusting to the changes. The other birds are not.

Do you think she will bond to me and my family, since she has been with her family so long?
