you could try potty training him. they are really smart birds so you should be able to do it easily.

the way i did it is i just picked him up off my shoulder every ten mins and held him above a bin/ perch and said 'toilet' eventually he had to go and when he did he got a treat or some cuddles. he will learn to only poo in certain places. and as long as you are cleaning up after him and washing your hands before eatig you should be fine.

i have heard that some pensioners are moving over to thailand from australia because it's so cheap to live over there and the quality of life is much better.
