I know all too well about fly strips and I have fruit flies galore no matter how much I clean. If there are not toxins there wouldn't be poisening, but the glue I would worry about with the crop. If you know he didn't eat any I think he would be fine!

I found the fly TUBE bought at Rural King are the best for attracting them. You can also take an old cup and put fruit in the bottom of it (mushed up) and then take cling wrap and rubber band around the top then take a tooth pick and poke holes in it. It attracts them in an instant and then they get stuck in there!
