Trying to adjust

My Name is Keith and I am a 42 yr old disabled man in West Central Georgia. I recently rescued a CAG from some people that had him on their front porch with Breeder mice, snakes, guinnie pigs, dogs, ect. ect. He has pulled or chewed all of his tail feathers out I am sure that it was done due to stress. I was told that he is 3 yrs. old however I believe he is much younger as he is only about9 inches tall, I havent weighed him yet as he is skittish and I am trying to allow him time to adjust to his new home. When I got him he had two different types of food and I asked which he prefered and was told that he was on Zupreem but that it costed too much so they fed him that 8 in 1 crap. First thing I did was go purchase 20 lbs of Zupreem. He has come quite a ways since being here , only had him for 5 days and I look foward to the day that I can be trusted enough to get him on my hand I know it is a slow process as he is not my first bird, I also have a Yellow Naped that lives with HOGZILLA (My Ex).
