Chipper... you're too adorable!!
And Savage... I too have a rehomed Amazon and he has his moments but never with me. All of my birds seem to like me and no one else out of the household and I'm not really sure why (other than the fact that I'm the one here all the time and I let them out, feed them, love on them, and all that other good stuff LOL). My Amazon will go out of his way to get at anyone else and no one else can pick him up, cuddle, or kiss him except me. We actually were trying to steer clear of Amazons because we had heard that they were not usually the easiest birds to get along with but Alfie needed us so we took him on. We've been asked to take in another Mexican Red Head and I'm hoping that he and Alfie will get along since miraculously all of my birdies now get along well and don't pick on or fight with eachother. Even my "only sociable when it suits me" female Goffin tolerates my GCC barging into her cage and taking it over all of the time. My male Goffin thinks everyone elses food and cages belong to him and that he can just help himself to them whenever he wants.
Anyway, thank you! I'm glad to know it's more of an "individual" personality thing and not a sex thing. We hope to someday (if people ever stop asking us to take in their unwanted birdies) purchase a baby CAG and now I know we can go either way and still be happy!
