My mother enjoys using her rival crock-pot as well (inside piece is ceramic), which of course also have the rinse-clean easy stuff, though they don't make the brand that she uses still (atleast from what I can tell on the website). The main thing that I don't like about it is that it burns food and sometimes the food comes out worse than expected-though rarely. My mother usually uses her crock-pot overnight or through the day... she just gets it ready, puts all the ingredients in, sets it, and leaves it alone till either she gets home, or wakes up in the morning...

I would suppose though that since they are slow cookers and are not made to cook foods at an extremely high temperature that it MIGHT be safe in the end... wouldn't know for sure though...
