Oh Linda I am so sorry about Fletcher and Orsola.
A thousand years ago when I was little.... our birds were frightned to death by a neighbourhood dog. The scenario you described sounds exactly the same. Heart attacks happen very quickly and they do not suffer like you described in your remorse. The strong cage you have saved them from what could have been much much worse. What happened is nobody's fault. We all expereince guilt thinking we could have done something more or different. That is normal. I hope you know that unfortunately these things happen and you can be at peace in your hearts that you did your best and they had a good life with you!
