Flirtin

While Judy was with Grace getting her nails trimmed, I took the opportunity to wander into the bird department......

No, I didn't bring any new FIDs home, but....
I had 2 beautiful birds competing for my attention.

One was this very pretty Indian Ringneck with such unusual colors.
Very light, with pale yellow at the head & face, pale green at the wings, and a very light blue on the rump. I think it's called a "Lilac" mutation.
It kept playing peekaboo with me...

The other sweetie was this Meyer's. It said a raspy "hullo" to me, pinned it's eyes and proceeded to bob it's head trying regurgitate for me. I offered it some skritches, and it eagerly pressed it's head against the bars for me to rub across it's brow, cheek & jaw. When I told it I had to leave, it grabbed onto my fingertip as if to say "please don't go!".

Then I saw this little Brownhead. It too gave me the "come hither" look... and promptly sank the end of it's beak into the tip of my finger when I went to touch it.

I guess it serves me right for flirting.
