Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new baby.

As far as your cat....keep them apart from each other, or watch carefully if they are in the smae room. Even though your cat may only be playing a scratch or bite can kill your bird instantly. Cats carry a bacteria that is deadly to birds. My best advice is keep them seperated.
