Personally, my cockatiels are the only ones of my birds I have ever let my 10 year old grandson handle. I know how much blood my Green Cheek, Lovebird and Princess of Wales parakeets can draw, if they choose to. The Lovrebird is the smallest, but her bite is the worst! (especially when she has eggs)
But... that is just my personal opinion.
