The people who own the house that I live in (we rent) had taken half of the two car garage and remodeled it into a office. This room is the biggest room in the house and tiled, and mostly soundproof, so that is the bird room where their cages and all the bird supplies are. The best part is that it is on its own ventilation system and heating and cooling system, so I don't have to worry about cooking fumes, etc. if I shut the door (which is a heavy insulated inside/ outside door). Of course I don't use teflon or any of that mess, but for me the extra peace of mind is priceless. It is also right off of my living room, which is nice.

However, almost every room in our house has some type of playstand, java tree, jungle gym for the birds to play on. I learned a long time ago that having one or two stands and having to roll them all around the house just wasn't for me. So, one room, which is as big as the kitchen and living room put together, belongs to the birds- but the living room, library, office, sun room, and spare bedroom all have bird stuff incorporated as well.
