Thanks guys!!! I just got finished setting up the cage and getting the perches and toys in. Like I said I was expecting this so I didn't have anything ready. I am going to buy some new toys and make some of my own over the weekend, but she has plenty to start off.
A little info about the bird: It is a petstore bird - I was in there a few days ago getting some food and saw this little one and just fell in love she was the sweetest. I do not know the sex, but will be ordering a kit to have it DNAed. To my surprise it is not a baby - I have the hatch certificate and she is over a year old, 14 months to be exact, she hatched August of 2007. Also, to my surprise she has been there in the store for almost a year, since November of last year
. I asked why no one has snatched this little guy yet and they said she was a meany!!! She was caged with another sun that was sold and was a big time bitter, but once the other one got sold she turned really sweet. Another example of caging more then one together and having bitters
She is a super sweetie though - even though she is not a baby so to speak she is my baby
She steps up, eats from my hand, loves scratches, etc.
Now I just need to come up with a name!!!! *thinking*
