Bird Safe space heaters?

It is starting to get cold here in our neck of the woods, especially at night. I have a heat panel arriving for Ozzy tomorrow. In the mean time, I put a light bulb on his cage since he has been freezing his tail feathers off! He seems to have perked up a bit since I did that. Once he gets the heat panel on him, he'll be set. But what about his people? Does anyone know of any bird safe space heaters? How do I find out if a space heater is approved to be used around birds? And what about fire logs? Are they safe? The ones like these...
Ace - Ace Tree: Heating & Cooling: Fireplaces & Stoves: Fire Logs & Fire Starters: Starterlogg® Wood Fire Starter (SL12350) - 24 Pack

Thank You!
