Well in my experience Dewey is a little clumsy goof ball. He likes being petted, though he doesn’t like his feathers ruffled or his head scritchied like a too. He LOVES being the center of attention and has to be in the action.

Oh, and Dewey isn’t quiet at all, he talks up a storm, I love it, but people like my sis cant stand it. If the room is loud though he is loud.
He sounds like this: YouTube - Taj chattering

He screams to, there is a misconception with ekkies that they don’t scream, Dewey screams when he is hungry, scared, or over hyper and flying around. He is quiet compared to most, but he is no cockatiel. I’ve been talking with several people with unweaned ekkies who are looking at getting rid of theirs because of the vocalizing is why I mention it.

I’ve had no experience personally with plucking, in most cases I've seen, its often diet related, or health related. I’ve noticed this too, may just be a coincidence, but those with parents who pluck seem more likely to be pluckers.

Long story short, I love him to death, and to me he is perfect, but he isn’t completely silent and he does have his grumpy days when he doesn’t get enough sleep. But that is to be expected with all birds.
