Great article. I think a lot of people don't know that birds are interactive, not decorative. I've had so many reactions in conversation, including bewildered wonderment that I actually let my bird out of the cage and play with him, or surprise that he's smart enough to recognize the sound of my car pulling up in the driveway and that it's different from other cars that pull up. Too many misconceptions about birds out there.
