These toe injuries (or attacks in the case of Mojo and Shinda!

) are more common than I realised! So you don't know how your bird lost the tip of his toe?
This new nail is tiny compared to the nails on her back toes!

just like us. If we damage our nails, where they grow from(the matrix) it will either do two things...not grow at all, or grow in deformed.
She might end up loosing it again. depending on how much damage has been done, and we cant see that. Ajax, on our board, has a similar thing going on.
I think his comes in to a point them falls out. So you might want to have some flower on hand to stop any bleeding if thats what a happens. I think I recall her saying there was a small amount of blood each time it happens.

Ah yes, I remember now BP talking about 'funny' nails coming through!
I've posted this on four different boards now and so far everyone thinks this is indeed a toenail
I'm going to be so embarrassed if my breeder posts on the UK forum in reply to my post there telling me the 'new' nail has always been there!

Lisa would you recommend roses or carnations for the flower?

Tee hee! How about cornflour? I don't think I've got any flour in the cupboard (I'm no cake maker!

) but I've definitely got cornflour.
