I would guess they go by both beebee n canary winges? The prob I have had is when looking up canary-winged n beebee I get different birds(in past) Over the summer I did have the chance to see n speak to one of the leading hookbill experts in the country n believe it or not he knew beebee parrot n discribed it just as i have known. He said they are native to Souh America n were widely imported( I am trying to reach him again actually) The Green one shown in pet finder is just what I had!
Then again I have seen green cheeks and others advertised n listed in books as beebees n they not even close to what I had! Thi is why I have asked here.
Eliza I have to say the bird I had was the BEST. Tiny but the personallity n bearing of a Macaw. In facted when I took my birds out, In car< it would calm or command the others. He had no problem walking up to my amazon n taling peanuts away. He was also the one that wouls ride the cats most of the time! Sit on head and walk around. I have been told in the past this is their personallity. I will loook up canary-winged again too

Oh as to birds only pet stores. Recently went to columbus oh n had lot of time so hit pet stoes. used to be very good birds only store but not now. chain stores n mostly dog cat stuff!!!!!
