Hi Everyone! I tried to post "hello and intro" the other day, but did it incorrectly - so I'm trying again .. LOL
I'm an Ohio native, but moved to Ca. 3 1/2 years ago with new hubby. We recently got "custody" of Cuca (from the ex-wife) who is a 26 year old Hispanolan (sp?) parrot from the Dominican Republic. Hubby has had her since she was a fledgling (sp?).
I have never had birds, but I've completely fallen head of heels in love with Cuca! We also have 2 dogs and 4 cats and I love them too, but nothing like the attachment I have with Cuca ...
Anyway, I was so excited to find this board and get to explore and learn more about parrots/birds and how to take proper care of her!
