Red face I need help taming 1 yr old cockatiels! Please!

Hello,
We've just acquired two beautiful cockatiels and they're about 1 year old. They're not tame. I want so badly to have them tame and trust me, and I need advice! My last cockatiel was hand raised by me, so I was her mommy and she was with me at all times. I would love for these two boys to have that same wonderful relationship with me. We've placed them in two seperate cages in the same room, they seem happy, had them for 3 days now. I don't want to move too fast for them. They've never even had a treat or anything, they won't even try it! No veggies, millet, etc. They're eating their food & water fine and seem happy and healthy but I can't get near either of them. I don't know what they've been through, one has a part of his tail missing with a diagonal slice gone. They might have been treated badly and I can't believe the poor guys don't even know what millet is. Anyway, any advice that you can offer would be great. We will give them a loving home forever, no matter what, but I hope they warm up to us and let us hold them eventually. Thank you!
