Kirri lives full time in the aviary. It's better for her as far as space goes. Whilst she seems to enjoy the odd scratch and having a chat she's not a real cuddle bird who needs us. As long as she has stuff to chew and things to forage with, a bit of a chat and a scratch each day she seems happy enough.
Living where we do in Australia the weather isn't too bad, just the odd vicious heatwave. Those times she gets sprayed down to keep her cool and has a big dish of water with ice cubes to splash in.
