Hello...on a recent trip to PetSmart a 9 month male Princess of Wales Parakeet spotted my husband and it's been love ever since. We revisited several times and each time the parakeet greeted him with dances and chirps and would follow him around his cage. On our last visit we were formally introduced to the bird and 20 minutes of nose kissing, petting, chirping and talking ensued. My concern however is that we have a toy poodle at home that is very demanding of my attention and jealous of any interactions we have with others. He is also not particularly friendly with other dogs and the squirel who visits the backyard is his arch enemy. On the other hand he is gentle and loving with our Lhasa Apso but she is older and very relaxed. I would never want to put the bird in danger. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Your thoughts/advise is much appreciated!
