yep, I come from a family who has always had poodles.
In fact, our white one's father was on the cover of the poodle book in the day.
most of our poodles were ok with my birds growing up. we did have one that was trained to attack on command(if you can believe that...but she DID!)
she never hurt my birds, BUT did kill a duck one time....I was horrified(and about 7 years old)but she was set off with the command word by someone who didnt know.
Because Poodles were originally hunting dogs, It was a concern of mine. While I would like to have another, I dont think I would ever chance it. Not with having my Emma who is disabled and lands on the floor alot.
If you have jealous high strung dog, you might want to reconsider, or have extra precautions in place as I did growing up around birds and hunting dogs.
