Yeah, I've learned to throw their food in the grass to help curb the poop, but I still have to hose off the flagstone once a week
The weird looking one is called a Muscovy Duck. They're pretty common around here. They seem to be known as a "trash duck." (I hate the term, but I can't change the world

) They'll eat anything, including trash, and supposedly they're not very good to eat (again I'm from Southern Louisiana...weirdos around here will eat just about anything that doesn't eat them first :eek) They are normally seen around drainage canals and bayous because they eat the small fish and such that are in there.
So many folks say they're ugly, but I think they're very pretty although a little odd. Each one is so unique which is quite different from your typical Mallard or Wood Duck who all look about the same. If you google them, they have tons of pictures, they range from almost all white with spotted feet, to almost completely black.
