Warning to Bird Owners about Sleep Huts

My partner and I are absolutely devastated right now but I wanted to post this to let others know the dangers of fabric sleep huts. Our beautiful little girl Maya, a white bellied caique, was in her cage along with our two other caiques. Two days ago, we were out of the room for about half an hour and in that time she pecked a hole in the fabric of the sleep tube, shredded some fibers and got her neck caught and died.

We have always been very careful about providing our babies with many different toys and check them regularly for safety but never in a million years expected or even thought of this happening. Needless to say, we are both incredibly upset but I wanted to post this in the hope that this might help prevent another owner going through such a horrible experience.
