My parakeets like toys that make as much noise as possible so they aren't too big on foraging toys. I wouldn't use the toy with a hole that big, the tiels could get their heads stuck too and to me it's not worth the risk. I make all my toys now, they like them better and I can make sure I get a little bit of something that everyone likes. Not only that but there's nothing worse than spending an outrageous amount of money on a toy just to have them ignore it, lol.
My tiels love some seeds mixed in with shredded newspaper or a sheet of paper they can chew through. Sometimes I put a paper plate or ice cube tray filled with different goodies on the bottom of the cage and tape paper on top so they have to chew through to find the food, beads, treats or whatever else is in there. I leave some empty though so they don't always find something. If you do that it's a good idea to make some small holes in the paper first so they can see that there is food in there. I also use unbleached coffee filters that I fold up so they look a bit like a flower and they love to chew them to pieces. The cheap straw hats you buy for dolls at the craft store are really great and they are about 99 cents each, just be sure to check every day for loose strings. You can tuck seeds and small pieces of paper in them to make it more fun. Empty egg cartons torn into small pieces and put on a string are great. I always take a couple of the cup parts and place them right side up and put a treat or two in there. I microwave them for about 30 seconds first to kill any icky things. One other thing my tiels go nuts for and my keets even like are pieces of drinking straws cut up and strung on cotton rope. They will chew and preen them for hours and they last quite awhile and are easily replaced.
Pretty much anything you can think of works. I used to sit and think for hours about a toy and then I realized that they don't care what it looks like, lol.
