If it is non-cancerous and not causing the bird any discomfort than I would leave it alone.

I almost adopted a B & G who had a mutilation ....I took a photo and showed it to my vet. It was a squamous cell carcinoma cancer.

If it isn't cancer and not bothering him/her---no worries and cause to celebrate!
