Heya,
As all others here I am new to the forum and would like to introduce myself. My name is diana, 25 and live in the Netherlands. And I am looking forward to get to know people and learn learn learn about everything.
I come from a family that has loved and bred birds (canary's) most of their lives, apple doesn't fall far from the tree ^^. Unfortunately for me the dream to have a grey had to wait till I were settled in on my own ( dad isn't the bird lover..). That time has come :D in the middle of moving to Sweden atm to live with my partner.
Both of us love animals and both have a love for greys so the decision was made rather easy.. though not fast. I am someone who wants to think EVERYTHING through, I cant commit to an animal if I know somewhere along the line ( for as far as I can control/see ) I will have to say goodbye to it.
Obviously due to the stress of the move we're not parents of a little feathered friend quite yet, waiting is .. more then terrible, but it will be worth it
This week cage/play stand shopping is on the agenda

going to be interesting.. play stand we agree on.. cage, not so much..
He wants a cabinet underneath (handy for food he says.. not like we don't have zillion empty storage in the house ) and I dont. other then that its the big question.. play top or not. Since I am ALWAYS home (health reasons that wont improve) we plan on having mika (^^ we got the name but not the bird)as free living as possible, so out all day untill its bed time.
Would love to have him out all the time, but 3 cats.. not going to happen when I'm asleep. I doubt they will get close, all 3 are used to birds, but cats remain cats..
hmmm this has become a bit long winding.. sorrry
well closing it here :) with a few pictures of our current household ^^

the one upfront is my little devil, Pip (short for pipin)

Sam, one of the 3 and defiantly the one most photographed..
