New from NW Ontario :)
Hey everyone, I found this board while doing some research on PDD. I recently was advised to have my bird put down by the vet I was seeing. I did because I had no information about what else could be done.
I had a 2.5 year old cockatiel named Princess Tatyana, who was laid to rest in my flower garden immediately after leaving the vet office. I wasn't informed of getting a autopsy done after she was put down. So I had no way to know if she really had PDD.
I have some further questions about what my options are after wards, what to do with her environment. I wish to get another bird but I don't have any information about what I should be doing about the cage? surrounding walls? room? house...
I've been getting mixed messages about what to do and what I can't do and I can't find any valid information after PDD was classified as borno virus.
Sorry for the long post, but wanted to let everyone know where I'm coming from.
