I lost my quaker parakeet about two years ago, we were very close and it just devastated me.. and I bought a ringneck about a month afterwards (though it was a tough decision to make, my other cockatiel was lonely) and he really helped lighten the mood for us ... he could never replace my quaker of course, but looking back I'm very glad I brought Benny home!
