LOL, there ya go again Heather with that "expert" talk. :)

Hey Joarat: IMO, ya don't need any additional or special lighting for nestlings as in a natural nest there isn't much if any and if the babies are too young, light will probably bother their eyes. If parents are inside then do get them proper F.S. Lighting.

I suggest ya do learn to handfeed properly and learn all the extra skills that make handfeeding a success or a failure. I would also put together a birdie medicine chest with basic prescription meds etc. and make those human contacts first to help ya out in emergencies (local breeders & bird only pet shop operators), don't wait for them to happen. Also purchase a book called Handfeeding & Nursery Management from www.avianpublications.com.

Start a bank acct. also for A.V. emergencies.
