Jezabel (Cag) - Very hardy eater, the biggest begger I have here, I literally have to hide from her while i'm eating in order to be able to eat a meal that isn't being picked apart by her. She loves to have her head rubbed, occasionally by us humans but prefers head scratches from Tiki and Ginger, she will only return the favor for a milisecond though and then represent her own head for even more head rubs. She is in love with my hubby and pesters him to no end, sitting on his shoulder and leaning over to peer into his face. If he doesn't pay constant attention to her, she bites his ears or chews holes in his shirts. She is fearless when it comes to approaching my new additions (birds) she was the first one here and has approached the last 3 i've brought home as though they've always been here. She is the only one that has a relationship with all of my other birds, they all for some reason love only her and hate eachother, must be her shameless begging for head rubs. I have to truly monitor her because she seems to think none of them will ever hurt her and she is fearless when seeking their friendship.

Ginger (maxi pionus) - Ginger is my smallest bird with the biggest attitude. He (I believe) rules the roost here. He has a terrible temper and strikes like a snake repeatedly when he's angry. He seems to lose himself when he's angry or hormonal, becomes another bird entirely. Almost seems psychotic with anger. He is in LOVE with Jezabel and follows her around like a lovelorn teenager. Is not a morning bird and wakes up cranky, so I let him sleep in late and he's much happier that way. Tiki and Bliss are terrified of Ginger and give him a wide berth, because of that Ginger has seemed to develop a swagger filled with machismo. When Ginger is not hormonal or cranky he is the best little guy ever. He lets me rub him anywhere and we play wrestle and he's as gentle as can be, very sweet little guy. He is absolutely NUTS for goldfish crackers and will fly across the room to land on me when he spots the bag, he will snatch one, run up my arm and munch on it all the while exclaiming Mmmmmm mmmmm over and over again till its all gone with his head puffed up, tail fanned out and his little eyes pinning like crazy. His is the worst bite i've ever received, i've learned to avoid them now though and haven't been bitten in over a year but not for lack of trying on his part.

Tiki (U2) - She is filled with personality and is truly brilliant in my own, very biased, opinion. Tiki hates children and must be kept locked up while the boys are awake. With my husband and I she is the sweetest bird that has ever lived. She is independant and loves to play but gets into lots of mischief when she's on her own so must be constantly supervised. She is very frightened of strangers, no matter how well I tried to socialize her. She also gets car sick. She is a little unpredictable when she is displaying and special care needs to be taken because she nips on occasion. No blood, just i'm really excited bites. She bullies Bliss, and needs to be monitored with Jezabel even though they get along most of the time and is terrifed of Ginger but will fight them all if she's flapping on her rope, screaming and getting wound up. She is my best snuggling buddy and my husband and I adore her despite her quirkiness. She is very affectionate without being needy and enjoys sitting nearby while I watch TV but also enjoys quality snuggle time.

Bliss (M2) - We are still getting to know Bliss. Everyday we see more of her personality. She's been here for about 8 months but between establishing herself in the flock and still maturing herself we haven't seen all of who she is yet. When she came home at 9 months old she was very insecure and nervous, and very very babyish. Now she is very athletic and acrobatic and loves to climb around her birdroom using her chains. She is more self confident and is slowly coming out of her shell. She loves to sing and dance and loves showing off for strangers or company. She seems like a very happy little girl and likes nothing better then to snuggle, i'm trying to make her more independant when she's with me. She can entertain herself for hours in her own room but when I bring her out of her comfort zone which is her bird room or cage she becomes needy and clingy, she's just now starting to come out of that and can just recently sit happily in another room with us without being attached to me or begging to be. I'm enjoying getting to know our last addition, so far she's nothing but sweet. She reminds me of a big clumsy fumbling baby girl. She's very dainty and sweet and cries when the other birds bully her and then I have to run to rescue her.

Thats it thats my flock and I love each and everyone of them with all of their many differences.
