I've been riding from a very young age, but didn't get my first horse until I was 11. Jody's Star was a 22 year old Appaloosa mare. She was gorgeous and sweet. A few years later we got Chino Habebe, a 10 year old Arabian gelding. He was so beautiful it is impossible to describe. He was like a puppy, and followed us anywhere without a lead. I miss that horse so much. My dad and I were the only ones who rode, because of my mom's horseback riding accident, and when I went off to college they did nothing but hang with the sheep in the pasture. We finally sold them- it broke my heart, but they are in fantastic homes and getting ridden on a regular basis.

I miss riding, and hope to own several horses in the future.
