. The people I bought Morris and Maddie from fed all their tiels only Vita-parakeet for the same reason. It is also reccomended for breeder birds to start feeding their young b/c it doesn't have the harder to open seeds. Budgies and parakeets are much the same, so I would imagine the food would be fine for Daizy. You offer her fresh fruits and veggies, too, so she really should be fine on budgie food. Sunflower seeds have too much fat and a bird that really likes them should be limited becuase it will fill up on them too fast and not get other important nutrients from other foods.
