Thanks everybody! Since the breeder lives about 350 miles from here, I haven't even had the chance to see her/him in person yet. Tried to pick a name that was different, somewhat unisex, and would reflect the central/south american roots of the species. Well yeah, I was going for cute too!
Little tyke doesn't know it yet, but he's gonna have a ball! The cage is all set up, complete with toys. It has a play top, but there's also a play gym on the way. My largest apprehension at this point is that the nearest, in fact only avian vet I've been able to locate in the whole state of Maine is four and a half hours away.
Got a feeling I'm gonna get very well read on first aid, health issues, and wing clipping.
