As far as George goes, you might want to have a cage that has a grate on the bottom so he can't get to his droppings... And be sure you are feeding him a good mix or two of canary seed, PLUS some fresh foods such as veggies, breads, cooked brown rice, or even cooked eggs. It may be easiest for George to eat some of this food if you have a food processor or can chop up food into tiny bits and pieces... Adding some calcium or minerals (from the blocks you buy at the petstore) can also help...
