Monica might have some stuff to say - she has Bourkes parakeets [ although a different species, they are grass parakeets too ]
I recently [fell in love with it actually] came across a Swift parakeet at the local pet store - they didn't say he was an aviary bird - i emailed a breeder in Australia to find that out. He's still alone at the pet store & it's driving me crazy - apparently they should be kept in a flock - like a rosella.
