the guy who started this mash some 40 or 45 years ago passed it on to 'Mike" who made a few additions to it and it is the "complete" mean he feeds his flock. If they ever get the sight working again it really is a neat story. Apperantly within that recipe is everything a bird needs to live a wonderfull healthy life. My fids won't eat it if I put the fruit in it but they will scarf it up when I seperate the fruit from the bean/veggy mix and feed them seperatly. Go figure huh? lol
And yes there are many easier recipes, I use those too!! lol
oh and Mike makes it (if I remember right) in the whole batch (4 gallons worth) once a week!
