Today at 9AM, the store had their AV stop by to check over Halo & the rest of the parrots.
Halo was diagnosed with a minor upper respiratory infection.
The Vet then switched Halo from Tetracycline to Bentyl for the next 7 days and said that should clear it up quickly.
That was the best news I could of heard.
Halo was pretty good today. He had a few sneezes - a little damp, but no bubbles.
The new meds are a good sign, but it still means it will be a little longer before Halo comes home.
We are still trying to get some of the Roudybush™ Rice Diet™, but the only place that has it is almost 50 miles away.
I've looked every other brand I can find and they all have at least 2 or more types of corn. All except ZuPreem® AvianMaintenance™ FruitBlend™ Flavor Diet, it only has one type of corn ingredient.
OH yes, we also got flavour of Vitakraft™ Fruit & Nut Kracker Sticks™ with no corn.
I tried the touch test - so far I've had no reaction to either. (Thank God)
Halo seems to enjoy both of them.
At least it gives us another option for feeding.
