I'm in! I started doing the traditional low fat-low cal diet in mid Nov, then switched to Atkins at New Years. I won't go into specifics on figures but I have a midway goal that would put me back to what I was when I was a professional belly dancer in the Middle East and an ultimate goal of being what I was when I was 21-and at that age I had done a bit of catwalk modeling, was never photogenic enough for print ads.
I have already reached 33% of my midway goal and 22% of my ultimate goal. I had plateaued out around Christmas but the Atkins kick started me again. I expect to achieve the midway goal by end April and the ultimate one by September since statistically people tend to slow down as they get closer to their ultimate goals. So that can be an option for people who are a bit shy, just say what percentage you have achieved. For example if you want to lose 20 pounds and you lose 4, then you are at 20%.
I'm going to stay on induction as long as possible, it hasn't been too much of a hardship to stay under 20 grams of carbs...no pizza or pasta is hard though.
I have been working out every day-a bit of cardio and then on alternate days either arms and abs or glutes and legs because I heard you aren't supposed to exercise the same groups of muscles 2 days in a row. Has anyone else heard that? I tried Pilates but that doesn't seem so good for fat burning, I am having more luck with aerobics and then the muscle training.
