Talking Birdie bread for amateur bakers

I found this on another website. It is really simple to make (which is good for me since I'm not cooking often and therefore out of practice - life as a student without roommates will do that for you), and Valo just loves it! So, I figured I'd share for those who also like it simple:

1 cup of plain yellow corn meal
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 egg
1/2 cup of apple sauce (I use unsweeted, organic)
1/2 cup of apple juice
1/2 cup of peas, broccoli etc
1/3 cup of grated carrot
1/3 cup of cooked white or brown rice
1/3 cup of pellets or seeds

preheat oven to 350deg. mix above incredients well, and spread in a 8x8 glass pan. bake for 35min. DONE

i cut it into 1-2cm squares and the freeze it. the squares can be thawed seperately by heating in the microwave for 30sec.

valo loves it best fresh and warm... but that unfortunately only happens once a month. he still goes crazy over it when it comes out of the freezer though.
