I used to syringe some CCs of papaya juice to my green wing macaw, Rainbow. I was told that it had some enzymes in it that helped aid in their digestion.

But, Rainbow was sick and died of PDD. There was no reason other than his illness that caused me to offer him the juice.

I wouldn't offer that juice to any of my other fids. Water is what they always drink.

HOWEVER, I do notice my former M2 is a real PEST about drinking. When I raise a glass of cranberry juice or iced tea to my lips and she happens to be sitting with me on my arm or shoulder, she literally GRABS the glass in her mouth and tries to pull it toward her for a swallow too.

Of course, I said FORMER M2. She lives with a dear family member who is also a member of t his board, and who shall remain nameless, who has rather SPOILED her!
