Kopi (B&G Baby) is Here!

Actually, she's been here a week now and I have been so busy preparing good things for her to eat, watching her, playing with her & cleaning up after her that the week went by before I realized it! I have a whole new respect for those of you with more than one!

Things have been going very well. She is a real sweetie :) She has taken to everyone in the family and offers her foot for all of us to pick her up (including the daughters BF...he is on Kopi restrictions though cuz she gets to his shoulder and then his back everytime...)

The only thing worrying me is making sure she is eating enough (she was 22 weeks this weekend and weaned about 4 weeks ago) Her weight is on the low side & the vet said she was a little thin. He said nothing to worry about, just watch. Her breeder said that she has been weighing within 5g of 824g for the last 3-4 weeks and to let the vet know she was on the low side of the minimum. She is tracking about 815g here and was 818g when I had her at the vet's on Monday. Just to make sure I am doing everything correctly, I have been on the phone with her breeder 3x this week and she has me giving her some warm, mushy Zupreem pellets by hand right before I put her up for the evening.

Currently she is offered warm Crazy Corn in the morning mixed with a combination of fresh veggies/fruit (bell peppers, green beans, broccoli, carrots, kale, apples, cranberries, grapes, bananas) in the evening she gets the same mix with some pellets added and an Avi-Cake. She always has a seed/pellet mix (Volkman's Super Macaw, BP Ultimate Blend & Zupreem Natural) available in her cage and on her play gym. And we offer her nuts through out the day. She plays a lot and is very busy. I am guessing it's an adjustment period, taking everything in. I just get paranoid when there doesn't appear to be anything in her crop. She picks at things through out the day and always appears to enjoy her warm mix (it's all over her beak) Perhaps I am confusing a much younger baby's crop size to a 22 week olds?

Any thoughts or advice? Maybe I should just chill?
CyndiO :)
