Happy to have found this compendium of first-hand experience!

I/We are new to this message center and are glad to have stumbled upon such a wealth of first-hand experience.

Our family farm is as follows:
Man of the House: Husband - Tim
Lady and head Mistress of the House: Me - Kel'Liee
Head Princess: Daughter - Tessa Hazelle
Ranking by first to arrive through the door (not including those passing through heavens gates -- gone but NEVER EVER forgotten)
Percheron/Morgan gelding: Leviathan (Ma'ma's big baby boy) -- 12 years old
Percheron/Morgan gelding: Kahn (Dad's buddy -- horse thinks he is a dog) 12 years old.
Yorkshire Terrier Stud (Tim's go to work buddy): Reme -- near 10 years young
Yorkshire Terrier female (Ma'ma's girl): Bridgit -- near on 5 yrs old
Maltese female (Everybody's lap dog!!): Baby Girl -- near on 5 yrs old
Yorkie cross female (the ball freak! and super dog!!): Sophie 3 yrs old
Yorkie cross female (loves the Tessa girl beyond all belief!!!): Ursula
Cyrano - male cinammon pearl cockatiel -- what a doll doll doll
Amadaeus -- male grey pied cockatiel - who can catch a tune in 3 lessons or less!!!
Saraphina -- female white-faced lutino cockatiel -- Ma'ma's girly girl
Meena -- gorgeous female lutino cockatiel -- bashful and beeeeautiful.
All the cockatiels think the dogs are preening bushes, and the dogs cannot get enough cockatiel attention!!! The male cockatiels follow Tessa EVERYWHERE dismanteling everything she tries to put together, build, making her bed is always a festival!!!
AND then there is the growing families of wild squirrels and chipmunks that we feed all winter and love watching the new babies scamper around!
And the absolute hordes of wild birds we feed year around -- including the growing family of hummingbirds -- my husband has an uncanny way with birds in general. They think he is some sort of landing strip or something. YES, I mean the wild ones!! It's weird if you ask me, but I love it. I tease him that his fingers are so big the birds think they are tree branches -- I will have to figure out how to post photos.

Well thats the animal kingdom in a nutshell - tongue in cheek...
