he still squaks up a storm , he seems to like to sleep on his side at times...loves to be petted. well he is dried off now and i have him on me with a towel . any suggestions?

As they get older, they'll want more food. What are you feeding him besides the pablum? I give mine (cockatiels) Exact baby formula. For a 5-1/2 week old, I'd give him 10-15cc per feeding, if he wants a little more it should be OK, just check his crop to see that its not overfull or he'll bring it up. You can check by pressing lightly with a finger, you want it to be firm, but not hard, you can also tell by sight. Better to give him a little less than too much, you can always give him a little more after the crop empties a bit. I've only hand fed one Quaker but dozens of cockatiels. Sounds like you're doing good with him, though....
