I am glad you all enjoyed that. I found it really neat. Did any of you read
Imitative Parrots Just Might Tell You It's All In The Tongue?
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0907081118.htm

"This is the first direct evidence that parrots are able to use their large tongues to change the acoustic properties of their vocalizations,"

So long people have told me the bird's talking is all in the syrinx. a new study is showing that parrots may use their tongue also. They used five quaker parrots in their study. More interesting is the study was funded by a grant from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (N.I.H.-N.I.N.D.S. grant R01 NS029467). It was basically study in speech development and the similarites between human and parrot speech.
