Heaven forbid I don't want to clip the wrong feathers or hurt them in any way is there anyone out there that can help me? May be a diagram ( I know that sounds stupid) I just want to do this right if I decide to do it.

Hi,
I am new so hope this helps you with your problem. In the magazine petsolutions they show a diagram of what feathers to clip and also how far back to cut the nails on birds. I have cut my lovebirds feathers often but never her toenails and hope I never have to for worry about getting back to far on the quick. I have left my lovebirds feathers grow lately cause she needs the exercise of flying when left out at nite and no one here but me and hubby so we dont open doors at nite either so she is safe in the house. She is 3 years old, peachface and we love her sooo much. She keeps laying eggs and no male so no babies either. You could probably even go to
www.petsolutions.com and see if you could see any diagrams online to help you. Hope this helps.
